For most of the 70's WASA league consisted of Bristol South, Yate & Sodbury, Norton Radstock, Penhow, Cardiff & District, Western Valley and Mid Glamorgan. North Avon club had a short term existence for a couple of years in the early 80's too. Only 3 of those clubs remain today... This mini based front engined special was a regular in those days.
The Highman family from the Bredon Hill club were very well known in the 70's with their very tidy trio of VW Beetles. Here Mick Highman fends off a Yate & Sodbury class4 Mini in a modified saloons open at Norton Radstock 1978.

This is BC02 Roy Millington in his BDG class9 special. With it's monocoque chassis and Hewland FG gearbox it was many years ahead of it's time. Roy runs Millington Race Engines and is famous for his alloy 'Diamond' blocks that are used in quite a few class 3,7 & 9 cars.
