These great black and white photos were sent in by Mark 'Virgil' Booth from the collection of John and Margaret Mumford. They are all from the seventies from the Ludlow Bedstead Club which ran independantly of NASA up until the late seventies.
The Birmingham six loved their bedstead racing...
These last 4 pictures have been sent in by Matt Ellis who's dad Phillip Ellis & mum Marie Ellis both raced car no 29. Phillip's bedstead was one of the first to use a motorbike engine, which was a Triumph Bonneville running on methanol.
