Thanks go to Shirley Dalley from Eastnor for sending in these old West Midland League shots from the late 60's/early 70's.
Shirley's Dad Mr Geoff Dalley SV80 was one of the founder members of Severn Valley and had many a battle with Don Jenkins and Terry Brown.
Geoff Dalley and Ken Dawe Late 60's.
Geoff's car was fitted with a plastic petrol container and a giant steering wheel!
Two pictures of the Hereford Rebore race meeting at Hereford's Withington track of Geoff Dalley.
Geoff's car was running with twin su carburettors on a 1600 Ford crossflow engine.

Shropshire racer Steve Moreton has sent in these pictures of his class 5 Minis and Metros from the 80's and 90's
This is an early 80's photo when Steve was in his first season from the pre Star club days when they were known as SWM run by Mel Rangecroft.
Roger Pugh leads from Simon Cutting, Miles Thomas, Cliff Parry and then Steve.
Steve in his trusted heavyweight Class 5 mini at the 86 MAP Open
Steve in his well known Class 5 Metro still with A Series power chasing S12Y from Scarborugh at the 87 Fastest Man on Grass meeting
York 1987. On the fence is Martyn Tinker from Steve and Simon Cutting
This picture taken at a North Shropshire stubble meeting in 1989 shows Marg Owen who drove Steves car in many meetings around the country. Steve is not sure what shes doing with the spanner! Behind her is Jullian Galovics NS257 and behind that NS343 Geoff Gould's car.
Steve was possibly the first to try Vauxhall power in Class 5 which is the most popular engine in the class today albeit usually in the back.
Sent in by Chris Smith, this is a picture of him (left), and Roger Wilesmith (right).
Both are ex NASA chairmen and recently met up after 23 years!
Thanks to Mike Cooke for these late 70's / early 80's pictures from his collection. Mike was a leading light behind the scenes for Norton Radstock Club for many years
Mike Taviner who sadly passed away in November 2007. Mike was a founder member of Norton Radstock in the early 70's and for 30 odd years he was never far away from anything NR was involved in. He was also well known as the League staggerer for many years and got it down to a fine art, even sussing out the drivers that were slowing down on purpose in their finals in order to get a better position for the Champion of Champions. It was a testimony to his popularity when there were over 300 people at his funeral which was jam packed
A young and bearded Rory Fisher in his Norton Radstock days at the 79 Nationals at Wetherby
NR4 Jenny Pentland in what was a very quick Class4 Mini
Sent in by regular contributor Geoff Lowe these are a couple of pictures of Dave Berrisford's Class 3 Escort after a heavy roll at one of North Shropshires popular stubble charity meetings in the mid 80's.
Dave went oon to win the National Class9 title on the Isle of Wight in 1991.
Unfortunately Dave passed away late 2007 and is fondly remembered by all who met him.
Thanks to T Jonathon Lewis of the PHD club who has sent these 80's and 90's pictures in
Class1 Hornet of Mid Glamorgan's Chris Coldrick at Pembrey 1985
S57 Keith Daycock's Class4 Fiat 127 after a roll in the final at Pembrey 1985
Swansea Class1's   racing on the Carmarthen track in 1987. S34 Victor Williams leads Gary Nicholas.
Sadly Victor Williams who is seen leading the Class 1 race in the previous picture passed away in 1996. However the S34 number lives on with Victor's son Richard racing in a Class2 Nova as can be seen in this picture. Thanks to Richard Williams for the shot.
MG3 a Class9 special from the Mid Glamorgan club was, if I remember rightly driven by Neil Richards and was an ex Bob 'Mad Dog' Tansell chassis. Seen here at the 87 PAC Nationals
One of TJ's heroes from the 80's this is the Class5 BDH Metro of Pete Ellis at the 87 Nationals at PAC. Incidentally the Mini parked next to it belonged to ex NASA Chairman Keith Dingley LM40.
Possibly the most ground breaking Autograss car ever? Chris Allanson's first ever Z Car twin bike engined special at the 1995 South Wales Open. It raced in class9 as the capacity was under 2065cc. NASA later decided all twins had to go in class10.
The following pictures have been kindly sent by ex Bredon Hill racer Roger Butwell. Roger joined   Bredon Hill in 1972 and is a past Chairman.   He was also the NASA Treasurer for a while before Marg Allen.
News photo and press cutting of a Gloucestershire Jalopy League Dinner with many notable faces from about 1974. Left to right:- Dave Gardener, Harold Fowler, Andy Rouse, Sue Small, Joe Brewer, Roger Wilesmith & Wally Clarke (Gerry's Dad).
B96H Special shared with Alan Bird 1973
B96H & Roger's next Car B102H 1975
Roger's first Mini 1100cc which cost him about 6 crankshafts in one season, before obtaining a 1071S motor which was much more reliable.
They used to do some strange stuff at Gloucester League meetings like roll over competitions and races where 2 cars were tied together. This takes the biscuit though. It's a picture of Roger's Anglia winning a car jumping competition at Tewkesbury with Brian Jenkins at the wheel.
Amazingly it survived but was finished off in a demolition derby during the interval at Bredon Hill the following day...
This was Roger's Anglia, powered by a mid mounted 1500cc pre crossflow Ford, on it's last-but-one day of life.
Roger's final racer was the Mini in which he installed all the usable bits left off the Anglia. It was RWD with the 1500cc Ford engine, half under the bonnet & half in the passenger seat using the Anglia rear axle & Wheels with 9 inch prop shaft. The rear suspension was the front coil springs & shocks. Roger is sat on the car on the trailer....
Here are some more pictures from the collection of Paul Pearce of the PHD Club. There are some great shots from the mid 60's through to around 1980.
YM stood for Yates & Mable, a long forgotten club based in West Wales
Early special based on a Jaguar XK120. The roof was made of zinc sheet and was the first car in the area to use mesh on the windscreen after the driver was hit in the mouth with a stone!
Sir Stirling Moss at a Nationals when he presented the trophies
More pictures from the lens of North Shropshire man Geoff Lowe, this time from a Rallycross invitation meeting at Oulton Park in 1984
Shropshire man Simon Cutting's Westlake 8 port Class 5 Mini takes to the grid
Class 6 Nationals winners Geg Harris and Mike Jennings leave the line. Both went on to do Rallycross full time
Les Reynolds, Peter Williams and Roger Newbould prepare to launch. Roger went on to be a multiple British Rallycross Champion adding to his 2 Autograss Class 7 titles
Tony Butler in one of the new for 84 Class 3 Escorts. Tony was also a class 2 Nationals winner in a Renault Gordini
Bruce Campbell loved to race on the tarmac and was always to be seen at these special one off meetings wheter it be Oulton Park, Llandow, Northampton, Birmingham Wheels or anywhere else for that matter. He's seen here on the line with John Gaffney in the ex Henry Harding supercharged Class 10
Thanks to Lee Corbett for sending in these pictures of his Dad - multiple Nationals winning Bredon Hill racer Jim Corbett
In the early 70's Jim tried a special powered by a Volvo engine. This car was to have many subsequent owners such as Tony 'Mr Sheen' Lovell and John Phipps who was still racing it into the 90's.
Jims rather sad looking E93A Ford Pop after a nasty roll-over which rendered it scrap
Jim's fellow specials drivers seem more than a bit suprised to see him flying by their windows!
Who you lookin at?
Jim's all conquering Mk2 Cortina after winning the 1981 Nationals
Thanks to Ian Milnes who has sent in this 1994 picture of a Specials race at Leewood's Whittle Lane track which was behind Birch Services.

Gloucester Imp specialist Art Williams fends off a Bredon Hill Anglia and a Stroud Beetle circa 1974
Hayden Cole leads this battle into the first corner
Mel Neales all conquering V6 Anglia
Here's Paul Pearce when he first started racing. No fencing then just a few tyres to go round. PHD25 was an Austin Westminster and cost £5!
Paul built a special after that and became PHD26.
Huw William's Class 1 that came 2nd in the 98 Nationals
This photo from the late 1980's is of Pete Robinson and Neil Hanks NS246 (who sent it in) and is a Class 2 battle from the era when the Escort ruled.
Sent in by Jackie and Brian Hamblin this is a picture of their Class 6 Mini from the late 70's. CD stood for Cardiff & District, or Cardiff Dragons as they were sometimes known. The club sadly disbanded in the mid 80's.
Thanks to Nathan Teather (C206E) for sending in these great pictures of his dad Tony Teather (Concord chairman now C300E) racing at Henham and Braintree in his modified Minis.
Sideways action in one of Tony's modified Minis.
